Like I mentioned before, Evelyn is still very wary around people she doesn't know touching her. She's mainly so defensive because of how she never knows just how someone will react to her being trans. It's unfortunate, but the reality of the situation is that she does have a right to be wary in this day and age.
I like to base a lot of Evelyn's experiences and personality on what I know about the trans experience myself, with all the positives and negatives that come with it.
Luckily, no matter how dark things seem to get, there's always solace in the fact that you can always count on their being people who will support you no matter what. I hope some of you read this and take solace in that knowledge that even if it seems like the world is against you, there are MORE people who will fight for your rights than there are hooligans that want to take away yours.

It's just an unfortunate reality that those hooligans are extremely vocal and visible.

Sorry if I didn't exactly divulge a lot of Evelyn lore with this piece, but i felt it important to reiterate the reason Evelyn exists and to light a bit of hope in these admittedly kinda worrying times.

Also, Estella is there purely because I drew everything a bit too far left and needed someone to fill up the right side of the screen 😅.
