Description This is a birthday gift for my friend *raptor85 . She's a quarter of a century old today. If you haven't already, head over to her page and give her some love! She's one of my favorite raptor artists.

A while ago she went to Thailand for a vacation, and while she was there took this lovely photograph of a beautiful caged bird. So, this artwork is meant to represent what she probably wanted to do for the poor thing. <3

Hope you like it, dear!

I considered asking permission to use this picture for my lectures on parrot abuse/neglect and evolution, but because it's a gift to somebody.. I dunno. lol

Should you maybe ask the person whose gift it is, too?
Thanks in advance.

Are those opposable thumbs?

EWilloughby In reply to CookiesHK [2010-07-29 04:02:58 +0000 UTC]

More or less, yes. [link] Analysis of Bambiraptor fossils in 2007 indicated that it probably had a semi-opposable thumb, and nowadays that's thought to be fairly true of all dromaeosaurs.

Scary!

It'd still be damned hard to eat cereal in the morning.

Very true. As for turning doorknobs... a distinct possibility!
