Description
This is one of my favorite parts of the Binder Park Zoo.
They have an outlook deck where you can pet and feed the giraffe. If any of you ever get to pet one try to pet them behind their ears
thats where they are the softest almost like velvet. ---

Most of the time you actually have to have a cracker out there in order to feed them as they are still a bit shy. Although there are a few that don't seem to mind the petting without the food. I'm sure some day you'll get to pet one.
There are quite a number of zoos that have feeding programs. So far I'd have to say this one is set up the best. They give you these giraffe crackers that are extremely healthy for them about the size and shake of a grahm cracker. I've seen other zoos where they give you like 3 leaves 
The giraffes love the crackers. When the keepers wave them in the air and yell crackers the giraffe come running down the hill.
