So uh...never realized that I hadn't put this one up way back when it was taken...I kinda hate myself now xSDefinitely one of the funnier pictures ever taken while in my Vash outfit, this is inspired by the famous Tainted Donuts amv.

Hey Kyle, may I ask what you're wearing on your legs (I don't mean the straps/belts). I see two tones of pants or something, so I'm wondering what the black area on your thighs are if you are wearing some other pants under it.

Ahhhh ok so my suspicious were correct. Thank you. I thought about chaps too but can't find any that ride low enough on the hips. Do you have any tips for altering leather like that?

I'd just trim it to the shape you want and then sew the edges over on the inside so it'll look nicely finished. If it's soft-touch leather then it might be thin enough to go through a regular sewing machine as long as you use a size 16 or 18 needle. Otherwise you'd need an industrial grade machine. You could also sew it by hand.

How did you do the ends of the coat? I'm amazed, it's so well done.

I used various coins to trace out the bullet holes in pencil, arranging them how I wanted. I cut the holes out with a small pair of scissors, then used shoe polish and leather stainer to darken the edges for the burn/smoke effect.

I drew the circles and cut them out with scissors so they'd look more artistic and sharp like they were drawn in the manga. I also took the time to weather the leather and snaps with sandpaper

he may cosplay the same guy every year but damn he's good at pulling the character off
back then when i was at Akon16 i saw you i was like DAMN you pull Vash off like a PRO! you still do 
sad to say that year at Akon was the only time ive went ive never had the money to make it to the next one and blah blah blah lol but now hopefully i can keep this job and not wreck my 3rd car im all good ^^ for next year (ive gone through 3 cars since i was 16....i turn 20 in 4 months how sad is that)
