And this is possibly my favorite shot taken so far of this costume
I know its a little early...but what the heck? Christmas will be here pretty quickly, and since some places (like this store) already have Christmas decor up I thought I'd take advantage of the opportunity

I've absolutely loved The Nightmare Before Christmas since it first came out, when I was really little, and your take on a Jack costume is so captivating! I think it almost... nostalgic. xD
Especially in this picture, how the costume looks, the angle of the shot, everything is a most gorgeous representation of the film... it's so... real!
Honestly, this is probably one of my favorite cosplay pictures... ever.

Yea it was cool to see you as well, your Folken made me happy. I wanted to make one myself because I'd never seen a good one but you did such a good job that I decided to take it off of my to-do list 
As for Oogie, thats sweet!!! I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with. I have a friend who wants me to help them make one too, I'd love to get pictures with both of you (double boogie trouble xD)

If you already have an Oogie, I might just leave it to him/her. I mean I kinda wanted to do one since I hadn't seen a good one (was before I saw the one at Ikki) and all, but if you have one, then I might hold off and find some other character I could do to add to the group. ^_^ Take it easy!

awesome, had you considered making wings eventually? Other than your arm maintenance, cloak, and sword, thats the only thing that could make your costume any more epic (and of course they'd have to be black)

I say if you want to do an Oogie Boogie then don't give it up. You're the first person I know of that wanted to do one, I just kept getting other people who wanted to as well, and I think its unfair for anyone to stop just because someone else is. I do agree that its nice not to have duplicates in a group, but I also think if you really want to do a costume you shouldn't worry about being a multiple. Its up to you in any case and if you do decide to do something else there are more than enough characters to choose from

I thought about it, but also I believe he never has his wings out with his jacket on. He definitely takes his whole top off before he ever uses his wings. So I didn't really want to do that as it'd change the whole concept of the costume and especially require some new innovations on the shoulder area of the arm.

Well a lot of the reason I wanted to do Oogie Boogie was because I hadn't seen many and it'd be interesting. But truth is, there are a lot of other costumes that are both interesting and I have much more desire to do, so if you already have an Oogie Boogie, I could just focus energies else where. ^.^ As we all know, our cosplay lists are humongous.
