Yeah....Let's go with that since I was TOTALLY not a forgetful lazy-ass who commented but forgot to fave.

This wig is so gorgeous! I like the contrast of the black against the red in this one! And, of course, mascara/eyeliner tears always make my day!

On a side note, I've been vaguely considering getting cartilage piercings like you've got here, and I'm wondering how much it hurts. I'm not a wuss when it comes to pain, but I'd like to know. Also do they need more care than any other piercing?

Sadly, this wig has seen better days.. It was a Lelouch wig I bought off ebay and styled into Ritsuka by cutting some bangs out with thinning shears. I've worn this cosplay so much since (it's all I've got until Soma is complete). I tried to be all artsy with this one by exaggerating the black red to extremes.

I've handled all piercings pain wise.. but my body has a reaction with my adrenaline build up and I almost always white-out afterward. I get cold sweats and have to lay down a good five to ten minutes before I recover. I also have very thick cartilage, and those particular piercings I had done *twice* in each hole when I got them done. It was quite painful to have to be poked through a second time I must say. To date, I've had: lobes, cartilage, industrial, nose, nipples, naval... Those two cartilage you see were the worst if only because my unique ordeal. My industrial, in contrast, I had no problem pain wise. Just *whatever you do* go to a piercing parlor to get them done. The piercing gun is evil. There's more risk of infection and it not healing right! I also recommend H20cean aftercare spray.

It really looks great! I can tell that you chose a more artistic approach.

Ouch, that sounds like it REALLY sucks! Twice?! I can't imagine how much that would have hurt, especially since you have a such a drastic reaction afterwards.
Wow, you're really brave to get so many piercings even though you have that kind of reaction. I applaud you!
A piercing parlor, huh? I'll be sure to mark that down.

heh.. my thought on piercings are "why not?" If I don't like them, I take them out. I no longer have my nose, nipple, or naval piercings. Nose I lost pretty quick as I took it out for a con and it healed too fast. I kept the nipple and naval rings for years but eventually grew tired of banging them on things through my shirt (ouch!). I would've kept them if they didn't cause so many injuries.. Most tatoo parlors are also piercing parlors, just look or ask around people for a trusted piercer!

Next up is my tattoo back piece.. Getting a spacey Capricorn theme! (I'm the embodiment of my zodiac).

PaperChibi In reply to exailious [2011-11-06 18:38:40 +0000 UTC]

That's very true! Unlike tattoos, piercings can go away with minimal evidence that they ever existed if you don't like them.
That's a super-fast healing if it closed just during a con. Have you ever considered doing your nose again?
Ouch! I can see why you'd get rid of them if they caused so much trouble. I love quirky and flamboyant jewelry, but I always dread the risk of catching an earring on something and ripping it out. (A high risk with younger brothers who love nothing more than running up and tackling me!)
Yeah, there's some really good and reliable parlors around Albuqerque, so I think I'd know of a place I'd go.

Ooh, that sounds so cool! *Q* Make sure to post pictures!

I'm not all that into zodiac, but some parts of it interest me. I'm a Pisces, which very much explains a lot of my personality.

I had my nose piercing maybe four months before the con. I had taken it out for all of six hours and it was healed on the mucous layer of the nose. I tried to repierce with a needle and just ended up with a bloody nose. I doubt I'd get a nose ring again if only because it's not a piercing I can get away with at work, and the nose screw was a pain to get in =S

The nipple rings caught more on things than the belly did. I about ripped one out once when it caught on a video game standee I had in my room.. Very painful! The belly ring's problems were more in how I would balance boxes and heavy objects.. You don't realise how you use that exact spot in doing such things until you've got a piercing there. The main reason I took it out, is that it healed crooked. I couldn't have a standard curved barbell there because it slanted to the left, so I kept a captive bead ring instead. I may get the belly ring again, if it will stay straight this time

I'll most definitely get pictures! I'm going the 19th to start on it.. Will likely be five hours in the chair or more. Will take more than that to get it all done though.. This is going to be a large piece!

Wow, that's ridiculously fast! Did it bleed all over the place? I tend to get huge nosebleeds if I do so much as wipe my nose the wrong way.
Ah, stupid work!

Oooh, that makes me cringe just imagining it! Ouch!

Don't you just hate it when stuff like that happens? And then it looks funny, too!
I had one of my ears pierced slightly crooked because the girl holding the gun (yes, I got it done the cheap way, which probably wasn't the best idea) wasn't paying much attention. It's irritating, but I kept it.

Yay! Good luck! You definitely have a high tolerance for pain. I hope you don't feel too sick afterwards.

YOU TOO?? Gawd, I used to get nose bleeds daily if I so as much held my head the wrong way.. I haven't had one in years, but I still have the head jerk back reaction when I feel anything begin to run through my nose lest I start bleeding on myself ~__~;

I'm lucky enough with my work that they let me get away with wearing my 0g lobes, my industrial, and my two CBR rings on my other ear. I also don't have to cover my tattoo though not much of it can be seen through my collar

Heh, I'm just lucky as being a guy I'm not as sensitive

Yeah, It was irritating and being a perfectionist, I just couldn't keep it after awhile.. Do you wear posts? I would imagine it's not noticeable unless you've got something small in?

Haha, I handle tattoos great. My wings were five and a half hours in the chair and I could've gone more.. but we were done! He said I was one of the best clients he's ever had as I didn't move or complain at all. I can't wait for what he'll do with my concepts.. I gave him quite a bit of stuff to work off of and he's going to make his own design of it. His name is Carter Moore and you can see his stuff at [link]

IKR!!! I got a massive one on a road trip back from Colorado several years ago, and everyone around me was like O.O
I really hate blood. It makes me feel sick.

Lucky! My work is like, "NO creativity, NO unusual clothing, ALL INDIVIDUALITY BANNED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!"

Still......ouch.

The only thing that doesn't look funny are hoops or rings. The hole is at a downward tilt, so anything that isn't circular looks like it's falling out. And it usually does, too.

OUCH OUCH OUCH OUCH OUCH!!!!! You have guts!
He seems like a really great artist! I'm interested to see what he'll do.

Cotton balls are life savers heh.. We keep some at home always because I used to get them so often. I may have vampire teeth but I could never drink blood.. I hate the taste ~___~;;

What type of job do you have? You can always reply in note as I know we're talking out in the open here hehe

Ah kay, yeah I figured posts would be the only way to notice.. I've been gauging from the start, so I couldn't wear posts if I wanted to!

Awww, piercings hurt worse than tatts, I assure you on that. Tattoos are like someone scratching you.. and the after pain is like sunburn for a week. It's really not bad. In fact, my slimes tickled more than they hurt! I had to grab the chair to keep from flailing as he colored them in ~__~;;

Thank you so much for considering that. Like I said before, when my little shell gets a crack then I start spilling like a broken dam.

I'm much the same way, though I wager you've figured that by now
