Bloom from the Winx Club.Trying to expand different styles. Or maybe that's just an excuse to watch more cartoons. I also tried a slightly different approach for creating the guidelines which seems to have a helped a bit.

I've always luved her when the show first came on and still do the show itself was pretty good even though it came back on for a short time and it became cgi next I do like her beleivex and enchantix forms too

If it was a screenshot it would rather better than it does. I did take several screenshot references to study carefully but the actual drawing was done with pencil and paper. I can scan it in if you really want.

I downloaded several stills from the series and overlaid basic lines and shapes on them using the vector tools in paint shop pro to try to establish how the original guidelines would look.
Then when I do the actual drawing on paper I can refer to the vector guidelines to see how they should look. Then I basic copy those basic guidelines onto the paper before building up the details using scans as references as needed.

If I was going for a more unique style I wouldn't follow the guides quite as exactly but I did want this one and the Stella drawing to look as close as the original animation as possible.
