Just trying to get going again. This took way to long to draw and looks more like a ball of paper then an asteroid

Asteroids, rocks and such things are difficult to texture and learn about. In fact everything that needs texture to show what it is by itself is difficult. So it's ok

The more difficult textures are I think skin and plaster, so don't go ahead and challenge yourself with those textures yet, ok?

So what are some of the easier ones?

Perhaps different kinds of hair and fur. That's my first thought.
You could just look up textures to learn to draw and see what other tips it might come up with
