Description [link] my attempt at trying to draw that one. I think it came out decently except two things.. the scales and the head. While the head is only slightly out of proportion and the barbs and fin like structures on its head are slightly out of alignment the scales are just one big disaster. Probably will need to pick up a few tutorials on how to draw scales better.

as long as you keep practicing, you'll be amazingly better in no time.

That's epic! That's a brilliant dragon that is! Looks very intimidating and powerful.

The scales look fine to me...

You're welcome. You seem to have a VERY low opinion on yourself when it comes to your drawings. Well you shouldn't, just be glad you CAN draw. You can draw better then a lot of people so you really shouldn't be so hard on yourself.

I'm of the opinion everybody can draw at least as good as I can, especially if they take a few hours out of their time to study the underlying techniques of it and to apply them. So I'm not that good with drawing to be honest. I just know some tricks to make sure my lines go where they should go .

Still, I guess you are right, I'm a step up from the average joe on the street. But I'm not going to be satisfied with just being a single step higher up .

Well then I suggest you start taking lessons if you want to be better.

So...what do you think to MY artwork? How good do you think I am?

I'm working through some books and online videos at the moment. Hope that helps for a while.

As for your artwork, I think its pretty good, most glaringly is the fact that your anatomy and sometimes proportions are all over the place, even for a cartoony style. I would suggest you look up a bit on those subjects and try to apply them. Those two facts are some of the more boring and technical stuff, but it does wonders for the end result

My proportining isn't that bad is it?

And what the heck's an anatomy?

Besides, my artwork's SUPPOSED to be cartoony, I'm trying to be more like a comic book artist, I'm not aiming to produce realistic artwork. Also, I don't need art lessons, all my work's self taught and I've done far better self teaching myself then following art lessons so I don't need lessons.

not horrible, but it could use some improvement.

anatomy is knowing the body of the animal/creature/humaniod,its proportions with the rest of the body and knowing how it moved. Even cartoon artists use that since their drawings are still based on RL creatures.

Proportioning's been a big problem for me over the years but believe me, I was much worse then I am now. Right now, I'm only an amateur artist but I'm quite happy with the way my artstyle is right now. I would like to draw like Tracy Yardley though...

I...still don't get it but I don't think my "anatomy"'s that bad ethier.
