Here's my headcanon:

As Daisuke, Wallace, and Mimi continued to find the owner of the Digiegg. They eventually find the owner, oddly enough, a girl name Natsumi who appeared strikingly similar to Natchan. They explain to her about Digimon and how the egg would hatch into her chosen partner, making Natsumi officially a Chosen Child.

Daisuke and Chibimon still had sometime left in New York and decided to spend it with Mimi, Wallace, and Natsumi with also getting to know Natsumi a lot better. Near the end of the vacation, Natsumi openly expresses having feelings for Daisuke. He's quite shocked that a girl actually liked him more than a friend, but nevertheless return her feelings and spend the last few days together by themselves. When the day arrives for Daisuke and Chibimon to leave, Natsumi announces that she'll be going to Odaiba with them and live with relatives so she wouldn't be apart from Dai. Also at that time, Natsumi's Digiegg hatches (Whatever best guess of what type of a Digimon Natchan was is up to you 'cause I have no idea).

From then on, Dai and Natsumi are practically inserperatable along with their Digimon. Dai introduces Natsumi to the rest of the Chosens; Ken and Iori congratulating them, Miyako and Takeru both shocked at Dai having a girlfriend, and Hikari becoming a bit jealous at first by how beautiful Natsumi was but eventually got over it upon realizing it was how Dai felt when trying to get her attention from Takeru.

Dai and Natsumi spend the rest of their lives being an adorable couple and all of that.
