Peter and M.J. have been working on an experiment to make M.J. a spider-woman so that she will not constantly be captured by Peter's enemies (and even help him fight crime)! They are about done with the serum when one night Peter gets taken by the Green Goblin and M.J decides it's her turn to save the day. Amazing comic art and short tale for this picture.
I'm loving that many female lead title superheroes has come about and I always enjoy character growth when done well and sticks for a long time. I'm also loving that many characters who at first serve one purpose before (Such as Gwen and MJ and so many others who was simply there to be love interests and sex appeal for a main character) have evolved and becoming something more that allows them to branch out and hold possibly their own title without Peter or the person they were linked to being necessary per issue.
MJ with superpowers to me would be tons of fun but for the sake of variety maybe a different 'animal' theme powers for MJ just so she would have something different and stand out in that way plus be different from the norm. We have seen so far in the Spider series and spin offs: Spider (Peter and many others Spiders such as Gwen. Cindy, Jessica, Miles, Ham, ect), Octopus (Doc Ock), Rhino (Rhino), Electre eel (Electro), Cat (Black Cat), Vulture (Vulture), Scorpion (Scorpion), and a few others from other Marvel titles. So the question of what would fit MJ herself and how the powers might work is a question.
Different ideas for MJ: Butterfly, bunny, snake, mouse, tiger (Her iconic quote has the word tiger in it but this also feels used many times before), bee, dove, bat, frog, grasshopper, (looking at red animals) ladybug, Lily Beetles, Sea Stars, Red Devils Squid, Red-spotted Newt, poison dart frogs, Red Coachwhip, Red Racer and English Red snake, and Corn Snake.
Just for fun I went and looked up some animals and after so time I figured maybe the Strawberry poison-dart frog ('blue jeans' morph variety) could be good for her.
Powers of:
resisting all poisons, acids, and other forms of chemical weapons,
having poisons that can weaken or paralyze by the touch of her bare skin (with every punch or any physical contact she delivers the villain gets weaker as more poisons from her skins gets in contact with their skin and is absorbed thus she has some enhanced strength but it's the number of physical contacts that hurts badguys from MJ the most),
super strong legs allowing her to hop long distances and land from huge drops safely plus deliver powerful kicks,
Her body slightly changes when she activates her powers such as making her ass expand with strong muscles allowing for powerful booty ramming that comboed with her super strong legs can knock down a solid metal wall.
a long tongue she can extend and control to whip, grab, and lick,
her body's skin changes when she activates her superpowers from within with having slick red/strawberry skin covering her top half and face and black dots where normally her freckles would be but her lowers areas and arms having a blue coloring based on the 'blue jeans' frog that transformed her and gave her powers,
much like a person with body paint MJ is totally in the nude in her superhero form to ensure the highest chance of physical contact against villains but the blue coloring over her lower body has an illusion appearance of MJ wearing a very low cut body air tight blue jeans,
MJ does wear a eye mask in the same style as Ms Marvel, special tight panties that matches her lower blue coloring camouflaging with her body, and a magical indestructible bikini for her breasts area that has magical abilities to absorb certain poisons and acids she secretes directly into it expanding the bra as it does so plus MJ can squirt out the gathered poisons in a concentrated blast when squeezing her bra/boobs having her poisons and acids that was adsorbed and stored to be blasted out.
Frogs normally eat bugs such as Spiders but for MJ's case she's just naturally drawn to all Spiders. MJ licks Peter as a message to him that she personally stakes her claim on him as her special 'prey/toy' and guardianship.
