I find this perspective shot really fascinating how, from the bridge inbetween Africa and Discovery Island, Expedition Everest is visible. However, when you're on the bridge between Asia and Discovery Island; much closer to the ride, you can't see the massive looming mountain range. The amount of perspective tricks within this park, intentional or not (which all of them are likely intentional) is ridiculous . Let along the perspective I love the mirror effect in this shot and this scene is just really pretty in general, gazing down the winding river, through this natural retreat. How I adore this place beyond words

This one is more tied to Africa than it is the bridge. But it's still a fun nerd fact! The Dawa Bar is situated right next to a hotel. In fact, as you walk by during the day you may hear some guests pounding on doors and exchanges between others. At night you may be able to hear some guests singing as well. This hotel is actually home to all of the safari guides that take you through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. As Harambe became a more popular conservation and safari spot, safari guides started to join the ranks from all over the world, but as they moved there, they don't have any permanent living quarters, thus they're put up in the hotel!
