Does it really not matter that I didn't play the first?
What else can you tell me?

No it doesn't matter. The game has been developped to be worth it even if you didn't play the first one.
In the first one what was important were the choices you made ( killing this traitor or not , do this and not that etc...) but in the end it isn't THAT important , since first of all they don't change it all drastically and secondly if you didn't play the first one , those choices are balanced for you in the 2nd one ( you won't be either bad nor good , and the most important stuff from the first game is still there).
I didn't keep my save game of the 1st one because I had killed a teamate ( 'wrex ' ) . So I thought he would still be there with a fresh new game , but he isn't. So as I said , it doesn't matter.

Like ...it simulates random choices from the 1st game. Like you have the consequences in the number 2 , or random stuff from the number one. But those consequences are really not important at all I think.
Well it doesn't really choose. Put it this way , it's as if the character had a background , and you're just catching his life now ..! see what I mean ? . Those choices are his background.
Well kind of yes. Like I don't remember a single thing from the first game , and I am still understanding everything from this one.
Basically there is an alien race called the reapers that destroy all once every 10.000 years , and your role is to stop this. In the second one it's the same , you're fighting against them once again ,there's just different ennemies allied with them now.
But yes , it explains everything if you talk to everyone . And well now that I think about it ...when you start the game , there's ten lines of text that explain it....hahaha xD .
The only thing that was important in the first one was if you killed wrex or not and if you were in love with that or that girl. And in the second one they talk about it. Like they say ' hey I remember our good times etc...' . So you get what happened.

Yes I totally understand what you are saying I just don't get how the game can "pick" a neautral line when in such games there are always consequences either way you choose.
Yes, I get it.
That's good to hear.
Reapers eh? Remind me significantly already of the Necron from DoW. Good, I like that!
I see - more scope in this one perhaps? For opportunities?

What about the next game, do you think?
I bet. Though I hear elsewhere that they are much less numerous but much, much bigger.
I mean is there more scope in this (the second) game for big changes?
