Now look at that derp-face! This thing started out of randomness - I actually only wanted to try UV-mapping - but it somehow ended up getting a texture as well!However, this is my first real model-job that isn t a sword - I m pretty proud about the outcome!
I used the classic PS1-Spyro as a base (however: i don t remember classic Spyro to have such a derp-face XD !)
Anyways, hope you enjoy! Critique and comments would be highly welcomed. I m still a total beginner and would love to get some feedback!

Da geb ich dir voll und ganz recht! Den Platz hΓ€tte man doch ein wenig besser nutzen kΓΆnnen, aber andererseits war das mein erstes model, was nicht ein Schwert war - da musste ich erst mal austesten, wie man die Cuts am besten setzt, wie mans gut unfolded usw.
Da gings mir eher darum, alles schΓΆn sortiert zu haben.

Ha, give me some more experience and this will probably be the case^^! - The model took me around 2 hours (2 more for UVs, 2 more for the texture)

I would bet it s gonna be some sort of walk-cicle.
As for the map: That s a simple one! I think you can get this done with 3-4 layers:
Create one layer and fill it with a color of your liking. That s gonna be the background-base-color.
On top, create a new layer for the lineart. If you want to have smooth lines, you should learn how to use the pen-tool. (Tutorial? Here you go!
)
Draw the outher lines.
Create a new layer betwen the basecolor and lineart-layer. That one s gonna be for the "country-colors" - Here you have different opportunities: The easiest one if you don t own a tablet would be to take the magicwand tool and select the countries (holding shift allows you to select multiple objects). Now go to select -> edit selection -> expand -> 2px
Now, go to the color-picker and select a color you want to color your countries in. Go to Edit -> Fill -> Use foreground-color. Now your countries are colored in!
As a last step, you have to add the labels via Type-tool.

- But as for now, I m takeing on the "greek temple challenge" - A task we got from university in preperation of the practical exam next month!

Oh, it s simple: It s an extra-task you can do for some extra-points. In that challenge you have around 90 minutes to model a low-poly greek temple (I think, it was something around 1500 tris max). The trick is, it needs to look like a greek temple - So you can t just do two cylinders with a cube on top.

Oh! We have it a bit better over here: We have new "door-signs" installed - They re electrical and hooked up to the internet (You can rate the lectures there. That s what they re there for) - However, we noticed that if you hit all the buttons relentlessly, the entire thing crashes back to the desktop. Now you can open youtube and watch cat-videos on the doorsign!
