Hey, guess I'm a little late to the party here. The story here is really, really powerful, and that's coming from someone who's never seen more than a couple episodes of the show. I don't need to know the characters to understand their closeness growing up, or their loneliness when life separates them. It's also not really something you expect to see from a mystery show, the characters getting older and dealing with college and work life. There's a lot of weight behind this. And that book at the end, opened to nearly the last page with the golden road, that's refreshingly optimistic. Don't know if it's show accurate (or if it is, how terrified I ought to be of that road), but as an outsider it's the perfect capstone to this piece.
For the art, while I know you tried to follow the show's style even into adulthood, and I'd definitely say you succeeded, something about this still makes me think of your other art - I think I'd be able to realize it was yours if I was prompted. Something about the arms, legs, and hands, I think, and/or maybe the way the colors were applied. Looking closely, I think I'd say the fingers and the proportions and poses to the arms and legs, but I honestly don't know. There's just some quality to this that makes it yours while still staying reasonably close to the show.
I have to ask, though, where'd the idea for Dipper's...goatee? Beard? Soul patch? Whatever that strip of facial hair is, I'm just not used to seeing that and I wonder where the inspiration came from. Something in the show, or just all your imagination? Regardless, it works, especially with the first fatherhood pic. The color, placement, and his posture when it first shows up makes it work enough that it doesn't bug me (at least now that this is colored and I don't think it's a strip of tape stuck to his chin).

Hi! Their spouses aren't really meant to be anyone from the show in particular, likely just others they met later in life. Hope this clears it up!

This was really adorable! I've yet to watch Gravity Falls (still!) but I recognized the characters. The beginning was really sweet, seeing both of them grow up together, and I felt that pang of sorrow at their separation. But it was delightful to see that, even leading their own lives, they were never really that far from each other.
And congratulations on your largest drawing project yet (that I'm aware of)! You put a lot of effort and determination into this, and it shows! Great job!
