I live in Wisconsin a few hours south of the blacksmith that forged first +ULFBERH+T in 900-1000 years for the documentary. I think I might get in contact to see ifΒ I could commission one from him.

Fascinating!Β It looks as though it was disinterred from its icy burial place, having somehow been miraculously preserved for a millennia. Great job you've done there.

Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted it to look like. I built up the texture on my collagraph plate to get this effect, but I was pleased that it printed so well.
I mostly used scrunched tissue paper with pva glue for the metalic surfaces, sandpaper for the '+Ulfberh+t' inlay and cotton duck canvas for the fuller and hilt.
