after scavenging through the launch base zone to destroy any eggman tech that eggman has left on angel island knuckles discovers another mecha sonic unit which seems to be in a statis tube and as it activated it looked upon knuckles and suddenly attacked him causing knuckles to fight back with his punch only to be countered by mecha sonic's own punch shocking knuckles as mecha sonic explained that he possess the memories of his predecessors but as the fight proceed with sonic and tails joining the fight and with tails eventually being knocked out as knuckles and with sonic the last one standing was able to defeat hyper master mecha sonic
