One of the pictures done for "Month of Love", the bi-daily Valentines-to-WhiteDay posts for the UnovaForSmash Twitter acc.
These two cuties are probably my favorite two Pokemon of all time. Oshawott was my starter twice out of three times in BW and the one time in the sequels when I played them, but Emolga gradually rose up in my favorites over time thanks to cute anime clips and some funny parallels sis and I drew it between Emolga and Snivy's interactions in the anime to Daisy and Peach's interaction in Mario Strikers.
Nowadays they're my inseparable duo; their history in the anime may be shaky (Oshawott tried to hit on literally every other female Pokemon while Emolga is merely using him and the others to get whatever she wants while instead wishing to have a "hot" Pokemon bf), but I like to explore the idea that they eventually stop judging books by their covers, and find in each other a capable and loyal partner. (Which, I even modded my PMD3 for the exact purpose of having this pair; which did make the interactions a bit awkward since partner can't be female there and there's already a male Emolga NPC in that game... '^^)

This is also the first pic where I figured out how to move Oshawott's scalchop out of his belly, so I made use of it to attempt to recreate a pose he often strikes in the anime. Emolga just has a cute pose I thought up of to mirror it.
(Background is an anime snapshot of Route 6 in the Unova region, one of the earliest routes where Emolga is available in Black/White; technically the one in the anime is encountered in Route 4, but that was mainly because the anime turned the game's desert route into yet another generic forest for the sake of free filler, so I chose something else)
