well to be honest, it was photoshopped but just a bit, i mean there was this bar of light but it wasn't very clear so i edited the lightning a bit.

I like how the light slants through the window.

I like the lighting... it reminds me of a dance I'm studying (Swansong by Christopher Bruce) where a prisoner is beaten and humiliated, but throughout the dance there are scenes with a shaft of light representing hope and at the end the prisoner dances off into the light, possibly dead but also free.
