I wouldn't really say Aderyn's a gender-specific name. Though, I never considered it a name in the first place, since, to me it's just 'bird'

Honest though, Aderyn is my favorite name, and the fact that it means "bird" works great with the peacock theme. He might be a boy, but he does the name justice.
