I was heralded in high-school as being a great chess player. I once let one of the onlookers play me, I even let him cheat, but I still beat him. Then I returned back to the guy I usually played. Usually as in... every single day that I played. I remember I beat him once when he had a cold.
I think I won a total of 2 times the entire time I was in high-school.
