If you waited several more minutes would you have gotten more colors in the sky?

Actually that was the last of the colour.
It was sort of wierd, that colour was really gold and then turned to grey, and then that last bit of colour appeared for only a few minutes

Really good shot, I like the move of the water and the colours.
If only horizon was not on the center of the photo, I would take you a fav You should take more or less sky - skyline shouldn't be on the center.

Yeah, generally I do follow the rule of thirds, but for this shot because of where the water I was I was fairly limited to where I could set up, and so to use the rule of thirds I would have to sacrifice either showing the full cloud in the sky, or the rocks in the bottom, and i didnt want to do either

Appreciate the comment though

Yes, I know that sometimes you think that it looks better. But I learnt that it's only an illusion. Try to cut the sky (I did it with yor pic) and I think that the effect of the rocks is much better. The cloud is not so interesting to ignore the rule of thirds. And honestly - when rocks are not the main object on the photo - when eye must choose between cloud or rocks - you lost the effect which rocks gives.

Hmm... I'm usually a really stubborn person, but I gave in and cropped the pic and must admit, it looks much better.
Thanks for not giving in haha!
I'm going to update it now

I really like the exposure, you get that lovely swirl of the water as it moves, but its slightly too bright for me, I would make it a little darker because the sky seems a little blown out on the top left corner... Other than that I really like this image, you have done well with the composition
