Yeah, it's a beautiful spot and still one of my favourites, despite nearly losing my life there. I didn't know about undercurents in the sea, so one day I went for a swim and got into deep trouble. I was the only soul around, so naturally, there wasn't much help to be expected. Still can't remember how I got out of it, that part is a blank. My memory kicks in only from the moment when I was laying on the beach, completely exhausted, unable even to crawl. Since then, I learnt to be very, very cautious when it comes to unknown shores.

Thank you lots for your kind comment. It was a special year when this one was taken. At that time, I was travelling around the world (has taken me 15 months ), and be it in Asia, South Pacific, Central America, the Caribbean - the skies seemed to be ablaze most evenings, if there was no rain, of course. Later on, I learned that this had to do with volcanic activity. While on these travels, many volcanos belched huge clouds of gas and dust into the atmosphere, and slowly they resolved, spreading further and further. All this "alien" matter was breaking the sunlight when the sun was low on the horizon. Therefore this colorful show. I do have other sunset-pics from that time, but some of them seem so unreal, I didn't dare to put them on show. Most would think that I've tampered with the colors till it was a fake. But that's not the case.
So, if at some point you'll read in the papers that all around the world there is unusual volcanic activity, get your camera ready.
