Personality: Gifted to the Rookery by Nokt herself (or perhaps stolen from the Goddess), Obnubilans was named by a rider who fell from a hole in the sky on the back of the meanest Gryph in the place who speaks nothing but a language no one can make any sense of. Sometimes they think it doesn't mean anything. Supposedly - from what someone said once, in an inn on a dark and moonless night - the name means "The one who covers with clouds the night," but no one really believes it. Obnubilans showed no sense - and indeed, no apparent sentience - for her entire young life, led through training and growing up by dangling a tail or other bite-able object in front of her and hoping she misses.
Still known as Terror Fledgling, she somehow managed to work her way through her Tributes, becoming less of a hassle and more of a dangerous beast as she grew and developed things like "accurate targeting," until the moment she rose to the full moon again: and then it was as if something restored, Obnubilans became the calmest, sweetest bird she could be. As if making up for her reign of terror, she bestowed grace and favors on almost everyone, and without doubt became one of the most valuable and loved birds in the Rookery.
As for the future, it seems that she is more tied into the phases and colors of the moon than many - if not every - other bird there, and so who can say what might happen when a blue moon, wet moon, or harvest moon rises above the horizon? Or worse, a blood moon...
