Sketch of a “Beastmaster” character for a possible project. Sketched this out in preparation for doing the piece, but couldn’t continue further as I had no idea what to do with the background.
Character design inspired by the legend of Ivar the Boneless. General theme for this character was a tactical minded warrior with a severe handicap that prevents them from being more active in battle - in this case, having no legs. I’m thinking of a youthful in body, but quite hardened in mind and soul due to their experiences. There’s a story, but not worth telling yet.
