In my honest opinion, it wouldn't really matter :/
If Mike was a woman named Michelle, placed in the same situation with the same animatronics, the events would be much the same with very few differences in detail (i.e. everyday issues would be more female focused, etc.).
I'm reminded of a small comic made by Weaver, another artist who does FNAF art (but now does MLP). It had Bonnie (who in the comic is a woman) in the window, talking to Mike and saying something along the lines of "I believe if our sexes were swapped, maybe things would be different between you and I."
Cut to the next panel, now with the genders swapped, the two still in the same situation, and Bonnie saying, "Even changed, I still want to kill you."
So in short: Making Mike a woman wouldn't really do much

Used GIMP's airbrush tool to soften the areas around to give it that glowing appearance.
The area was right already, but using the airbrush gives it that glow.
