Description
Finn, Jedi Knight and former trooper. Armed with a saber in one hand, and a blaster in another. Leading a movement to convince his fellow troopers that there is always another chance to turn towards the Light, much like he did.My own little spin, and (truthfully speaking) my preferred story for the sequel trilogy.
Finn had so much potential, in my opinion. I wished the filmmakers utilized his origin as an ex trooper, and really explored the idea that even someone from as terrible position as his can be a hero - as well wield a lightsaber. He could've been the film's own Kyle Katarn, mixing Jedi with trooper/rogue traits. Though I'd like it if he wasn't a force-user, which would make him stand out more within the Star Wars mythos.
Still, Finn will always be my favorite character.

He should of been the main character. Instead we got boring Mary Sue Rey.

That's how it should've been. He should've been the Jedi Knight. What probably would've made it better is if he had Winddu's lightsaber instead of Anakin's. He should've trained with Luke and became a Jedi. There was even a deleted scene where he opens up a place using the Force!

i gotta agree...it's like, they keep giving good ~ideas~ to him but then not doing anything with it. finn sneaks back onto a star destroyer? lotta potential of him having to face people he knew. hell, one of the original concepts i read was they covered up his defection claiming he was a spy against the resistance, and he'd go back to ship, only to receive a heroes welcome from the other troops.
or his ending in TLJ could have been a good arc. like, he's switched sides, but now that whole "sacrifice yourself for the greater good" kicks in for the resistance. it could've made for way better story setup if rose was basically deprogramming his stormtrooper training or something. and instead, they just...give him jannah aka rule 63 finn

He was one of the best characters, heck he uses the lightsaber way better than Ray did. Like if Ray went evil and Finn became the hero of the movies & had to get rid of her, that would have been a much better twist of a story. But no...sigh.
