nah, I think it was more like a temptation. I mean, there were points in the movie (albeit a little underplayed) where the Onceler actually considered that maybe cutting down the trees could be wrong, but once the money rolled right in he was all for killing trees for the sake of money. heh, I guess it was both, money was the temptation that became the sin
