Awesome work! I'm really intrigued by the bus-- *cough*, I mean, the line work you did for the bust. It's interesting that you chose a color close, but still off, to the skin tone. Normally I would think it doesn't work, but it gives an even better impression of softness and form this way.
Also, it looks unique. I don't think many others do that. And for some reason, the painting looks really good with the not-black lines and almost acryllic/pastel-y feel, though I can't bring myself to explain it properly atm.

Yeah the commissioner wanted them backbreaking I guess . The secret is that I don't actually color the lines.I just set the lineart to soft light.(your getting top secret info dude!but not really .don't really care if anyone knows cause I want to try actually coloring the lines manually or find a better method)
I think I know a few artists that do that or some kinda better variation of it.i can't figure out though.i think its just really bright looking,I don't really like it and will change it probably.
