Did it quick, for a lil' contest on Allfanarts Forum, the theme was: Modernity.I love Astrid and Hiccup so so much, I couldn't miss the chance to draw them !
This is my first fanart of them and certainly not the last!!
I don't think I'll draw for a while, I'll try to do a lil' comics, so I need to work on the story and all that stuff, so see you soon !

Wow. They look cool as high school students. Or are they college students in that picture? Because I remember that Hiccup had braided pigtails when he was 18-19 years old in "Dragons: Race to the Edge" and "How to Train Your Dragon 2" when he was 20.

I did it 4 years ago for a contest in a modern universe, but i didn't think that far at that time! So I would say... college students maybe?

Personally i always saw Toothless as a dog, but either way, nice job.

He has both sides, cats one and dogs one, it depend, in the first movie he acts more like a cat (here ) because he is suspicious and doesn't trust any human, so his behaviour is exactly like a cat who is suspicious about humans in real life, but once he is able to trust and love Hiccup, he becomes more like a dog (here ), sooo I understand completly your point of view!
Unfortunately I had to make a choice, and I love cats more than dogs!
