2B pencil and mechanical pencil on bristol, digitally colored in Photoshop.About 7 years ago I wrote a little fable about a Hermit and an Elf. It was really a metaphor for a relationship that ended, I suppose we all deal with pain in different ways, mine ends up also with either stories or art. The story is linked below and I have to confess the writing is not the most prosaic and littered with a few typos, but it did inspire this piece.

I felt like I captured some of its essence, I also learned a lot from it like I do most pieces. This one I enjoyed doing very much.

It's written with soul.
It reminds me of a big picture book of Pinochio
I had as a child, pictures left text right.
It had such an impact.
I started drawing because of it and never really stopped.
I bet You have an archive that holds many of such books in it.
