Wish this would have turned out better but hey, maybe next time.Hate the anatomy and how flat the face is. My first time painting in greyscale.
Edit))))))) I was so unhappy with this piece and every time I saw it I noticed myself scroll a little faster, not because of how bad it was but because I was embarrassed, I felt I could do better. So I applied what I've been studying to the old piece and made adjustments. Originally she was crying but that literally only came about because of how frustrated I became and how I felt her deformed face was starting to look. I'll need to do a study on how humans really look when they cry before I do another teary-eyed piece.

I agree I am far too hard on myself but I think it's a good quality for myself to have, at least where art is concerned. When I was younger I let it make me feel defeated but now I kind of compete with myself to see how I can improve. Now it's almost a "healthy" quality

It's so weird because I made my first DA account when I was 11, my second when I was 13, and this when I was 16 and I've always documented my unhealthy relationship with my own work and now I have a completely different viewpoint and thought process. Is this what we call character development?
