Description
An overweight byt very strong man, King Dedede is the self proclaimed king of a small piece of land outside Musutafu called Cappy Town, from which he rules from his so-called "Ancestral" Castle. He is a lazy tyrant king who doesn't like it when others question his authority. In truth, his family took control of the land three generations ago through force, and have been ruling it ever since. While he goes to great lengths to convince others of his royalty, it's mostly to convince himself. His Quirk gives him super-strength and the appearance of a penguin, and he brings his point across with a large hammer. While it appears wooden, it has machine jets inside to make it more devastating. He lives in the castle with his long-suffering assistant Escargoon, a man with a Snail Quirk, and a bunch of servant guards. While he is a tyrant king, he still does what is needed to keep his land safe, so he uses his power to fight off any villains or criminals that disturb the peace, as he claims that distrubing the peace is his job. This has granted him the title of an Anti-Hero. While selfish and a genuine bully, he likes praise, so he does his best to act like a hero to keep his kingdom safe and happy. He even pays other hero agencies to keep his kingdom safe, though he never reads the fine print, so he sometimes hires others who are not genuine heroes, and often has to fix this mistake. He is thje arch-rival of young hero-in-training Kirby Saintama AKA Star Warrior. King Dedede is suspicious and jealousof the young hero because his subjects seem to adore him, and often challenges him to battle. King Dedede always loses these fights, but he never gives up. However, deep down he cares about him, believing that it was dull being king before he showed up and that he needs himself a rival. This has lead him on more than one occasion aiding the little pink teenaged hero in his heroic endeavours if they have a common enemy.
