Description From The Big Wet . *aartvocado asked me if I got any shots and I replied, "Only inside ones!"

Despite fallen trees, flooded roads, stranded school buses, no power, phones or pizzas... and on a No Rules Friday to boot... you can't keep a young artist down!

This shot was taken after midnight, after we figured you just can't cook pizza on a camp stove, but thank goD we didn't have to break out the tent or tarps too!

Bessa R3A and 50/1.5 Nokton
HP5 Plus @ 3200
Negative scanned
corrected in The Gimp
No cropping or other shit

Things are getting biblical these days. In the past 10 years, storms,
droughts & other weather/ climate phenomena have been rising.
I wonder why?

Merci Philippe. Yes, the rangefinder can be a bit 'hit and miss' with the framing sometimes but I was lucky with this one!

Thanks Deb!

Yeah I remember lots of candles and lanterns from when I was a kid and even when our only entertainment was an on old valve wireless too! They were the days!

I remember another bad storm, to rival this one, when I was about 18 months older than my son is now. I was so crook it hurt to look near a candle and Dad managed to get me to the doctor next morning by squeezing the, not so old then, EH Holden under and around fallen trees. I was sent immediately to hospital without passing go. Those were not the days!

I've deleted all of my devwatch and messages (just too DAmn many) but I'll be doing the gallery crawl as time permits. I look forward to seeing what I missed of the holy water results too!

Thanks mate! I've been trying a different tact to the pain in the arse, fine art in itself of scanning negatives with a crappy flatbed. I focused on getting the grain sharp as you would in a wet dark room. I think the extra time and stuffing around pays off. Can't wait to see what the print looks like!
