okay so, before any of u guys go.WTF WHY DO THEY HAVE DIFFERENT COUNTRIES FLAGS BEHIND THEM.
welll. basicly i have this theory that silver comes from england, sonic comes from america and shadow comes from japan.
why? ..i don't rly know. well sonics colours where suppost to match the american flag, he eats lots of fast food.
Shadow, likes more eligant foods, and his colours are more "red" like the japanese flag. he is just broody like japan from hetalia lol xD
Silver, is overly flamboyant and just overly.. gay but don't worry foalks he's not gay. he's just british
and don't ask me why i put flowers on the cup silver is holding.. it just kinda fit for some reason.

Hmm, overall i think this is a good picture. I think the countries fit very well considering that this is kind of a out of nowhere consept since it's just safe to assume there all from the same place.
The lighting and shadowing effects are really nice too, they all have a slightly different style of shading and it makes them all look alive (not to mention that i have no idea where you got all the colors so that they all match. Also the shadows on the back are a nice touch.
And i don't really know if this matters but the flags in the back are also very nicely put, i imagine that it would be hard to get them look right when their behind the characters. But eh, what do i know?

First off I think this is awesome. Vision I give you a 5 because it is amazing I love how you drew it. Originality I give you a 5 because I have not seen anything else like this anywhere. Technique I give you a 5 because I love the highlights and the shading and you did this in your own sonic style. Impact I give a 3 because this wasn't a huge thing but it's still awesome. I love how you made Silver have the british flag I cracked up, and I saw shadow with the chinese/japan flag I suddenly thought "WAR WAR SOMTHING ABOUT WAR HE SAID WAR"

Silver was born to be British and Sonic not only eats like an American but acts like one he has a smart ass attitude but he doesn't bring it out in a rude way he brings it out in a nice attitude way and Shadow has a strict personality to him I would say instead of emo or mean he just strict about everything he does Silver acts British he has a sensitive way about him but he has his tough boy moments just like all men do

I can see well where *f-sonic got their theories aswell as the ideas them selves. I agree that Silver the Hedgehog would be representing the British seeing his formality and also his personality. I enjoy seeing Shadow the Hedgehog in the place of being Japanese because of his personality. The character I personally agree with the most is Sonic the Hedgehog. There are many reasons that support this theory that include his look (being red, white, and blue), his addiction to fast food, and (once again -.-) his personality. But one thing confuses me. Sonic, Shadow, and Silver ALL were created by Sega, a company that was born by JAPANESE film makers and digital artists. Therefore, it would signal that Sonic, Shadow, Silver, and any character brought to life by Sega would be Japanese. But I'm not trying to bring a negative Critique, in fact, this is one of the most appealing I've ever encountered in the Sonic sires of Deviantations. So to this picture I say, smashing, yoku yatta, and awesome job!

Dude! This is sweet! I love how the shadowing and shining on all the characters. The flowers actually look pretty good on the cup that Silver is holding. I honestly like the whole thing. It really opened up your idea box. It's something I couldn't do. It's so amazing that you used MARKERS on this. I immediately thought, "Wow. I never thought of it that way." You were born with a very special gift. Nothing is compared to your artwork. It really made me stop and think for a moment. It brought out passion, originality, it brought out YOU. Good job.

Great idea, I liked silver, but some guys like jigglymaster portray silver as a unintelligent banana loving hedgehog. I like the britsh, they got us rare, who made diddy kong racing ds, which was great! They also gave us the comedy master Stuart Ashens.
Sonic is a fast, chili dog loving hedgehog, who fits right into the american stereotype. He is impatient, which i am also. I think sonic is what i like to call the average american teen.
Shadow is calm, old, and wise. He can use various weapons, and had a bond with Maria Robotink, and moans of Maria's death in some cases.
The idea is both original and looks great, though i would prefer it in the sonic channel art style. If sent to the right audience, it could have a big impact on the sonic fans' imagination.

Thank you for this critique :3 I understand what you mean, but i don't agree with the masses of people copying the sonic channel style, as i prefer people to have their own style of art even if it's in fanart, I think it shows more depth in a drawing since it has a more artistic and orginal feel.
I Don't beleve art should be about how well you can copy an offical style. you are right it would apeal more to the sonic fanbase, but i aim to create something with my own style not that of others.

One thing I often asked myself was, if the Sonic characters are Japanese (in the means that Sonic was made by the Japanese) why is he more popular elsewhere like in North America and Europe to an extent?

Also, if Sonic were American, would he be able to run so fast? Nope! He'd be fat, lazy, unintelligent, stupid, and he'd LOVE war more than anything.
I understand your theories, but technically, since they were all created in Japan, they are all Japanese. And once you think about it, Sonic himself has many traits that are common in Japan. He's clever, smart, fun-loving, strong, and hates injustice. He'll also help anyone in need, which is something that the Japanese would admire.
