Bwahaha! It's alive at last!

My Fall 2008 collection, Nostalgia. My largest and most worked on collection yet.
[So, yeah, I had that other Fall 2008 collection thing, but I did that over a year ago, and let's face it-this is 1 billion times better...]

Nostalgia started in March, when I cut out and printed out a bunch of different pictures, put those pictures in about 6 different themed groups, then did three outfit sketches for each one. The first one I did were for this one [I will post the collage later, like tomorrow.] The 2nd to last coat and the last dress were two of those original sketches. So, since then, I've been working on expanding it, and finally settled on 18 designs in June. I finally finished the coloring yesterday.
In the meantime, I discovered Three Days by Jane's Addiction, which became more of the inspiration for the theme then the original collage did. The entire collection has grown to deeper meaning then it ever started at. And for that I am gratefull it took 5 months to complete. This is definately the first collection I've done that feels personal to me.

When I uploaded it, my paper was WAY to giant for the scanner, so I had to do it in pieces and put it all together in Paint. I felt quite clever when it worked better than I thought it would. Just don't go looking for the seam-they're easy to spot once you know...;D

So lets face it: I don't know squat about most fabrics. I will describe each outfit as best I know, since I don't have any obligation to any more.

Right to Left::

Eight: Loose printed cotten tee, wide creamy yellow skirt, with lace hem and waist. Big pouffy flannel bow and black MJ's. Flippy-uppy bowler

Nine: Yet another loose white cotton drapey printed shirt [Only with a swan!] Light blue full skirt, with lots of tiered ruffly petticoat business sticking out [With big ribbon, yay!]. Black MJs.

Ten: Full length flannel shawl coat WITH FRINGE! Olive high-waisted, double-breasted pants, [No suspenders.], and cream sheer ruffle top with bow. Crazy tree model!

Eleven: Lace ochre top. Super full cream skirt, same tiered petticoat deal sticking out, and extra wide elastic suspenders. [connects all the way around in back...sort of like a harness.] Brown extra tall MJs. Black tights.

Tweleve: Charcoal wool coat, ribbed and textured, with over-sized cape collar and pockets [Flap has the same pattern as the booties do in Part One.] Plaid cotten pants. Balck whore heels. Red oragami bowler. Black patent gloves.
