I don't think it's so much a joke as just the tinyfox being cute. It doesn't realise there's anything wrong with hiding dishes in the oven instead of washing them, because it is tiny and silly. Thus, awwwww.

Instead of cleaning the dirty dishes, the little fox just hid them instead so that the other fox can't see them, and would assume that the little fox already cleaned the dishes
