Description
Toying with the idea of making a mammoth character for fun. I have a fondness for elephants (comes from realizing the first letter of elephant is the same as my name....4 year old logic) and mammoths are like super, fluffy badass elephants. 'Cept of course for the ones that weren't (and were bigger and more badass...I'm looking at you Columbian mammoth).My mammoth is starting to look a little neurotic.
Each chunk is a page from my sketchbook, drawn mostly with brush-tip pens.

My favorites are the one where he's sitting on the left, and the one right below it where he's holding a flower in his trunk.

There is a bit of a 'Tantor-esque' look about him as you go. It's hard to have the full emotion on elephants, that trunk get's in the way of the mouth. So all the emotion ends up in the eyes. It's hard to resist making them look scared

A little deliberate on my part. I admit I was throwing in my memories of other well designed elephants from disney stuff in order to find a good shorthand for drawing their anatomy. He looks like if Tantor and Manny had a neurotic lovechild, currently.
