Adaption of a design I saw in my head. Couldn’t translate it exactly to lineart (not without some more iteration to rediscover it), but I had fun creating these weird Warpfish (which are not fish, at all) by drawing irregular shapes and then pinning structures to them.Related content

I picture all of these things actually being basically the same creature. Just it kind of intersecting with 3D space and creating what looks like different forms. It's about as solid as smoke though.

ahhh so something of a dimensional entity of sorts? something outside of our native 3d space but filling into it in little sections because it is alien in that sense

Something like that, yeah. I really like trying to imagine 4 and upper dimensional creatures because it's so fundamentally alien. There's not really an easy way to depict that. Hell, hypercubes alone are brain breaking

ahha yeah, i have a few characters like that. having an engineer with intense knowledge of physics and borderline quantum mechanics for a friend tho really helps, maybe i could get some of the notes weve made together that break things down into more of a laymans/artistic persons terms and i could share them with you!
