- the deep sea dragon is pretty much one of the top predators of the deeper part of the ocean.
- Deep sea dragons main food source is Krakens and Gyojin. both of these prey animals will not bow down without a fight to the death. a Deep sea dragon with scars is not an uncommon sight because of this.
- they have fully lost the ability to fly, but they still use their small wings to hang on rocks or an extra pair of hands in the deep.
- the bronze colored skin on the Deep sea dragon is luminescent in the dark water
- they still need to breathe air like all other dragons species but they can hold their breath for over an hour.
- like many other sea dragons, they have some sort of echo location, although they only used it to communicate with each other.
- it is possible to see a Deep sea dragon on beaches or on small rock formation when they are resting. they can easily push themselves out in the water again with their big front legs. they also use the front legs to catch food or to show affection to their family.
- another sentient being rarely sees them at daytime due to their deep ocean hunting. at night more than one family can be seen sleeping on beaches or larger creeks with calm water.

I like to think this is a ultimate form of the seals >//w//<
But more seriously speaking, cool design for a sea dragon. I like the earth close colors and the idea that they use their former wings now to grabbing. Makes it feel like there actually was a reason to them loose their wings and turned them to something else. Also I can imagine those might be useful to swimming too, give some extra speed. :3

some of my water dragons still have wings(which are far more speedy than this bus of a dragon), but this dragons just don't need large wings anymore.
I look at a lot of different animals when I am drawing my creatures, some of them are still pretty colorful(but when you are a dragon, you are pretty much already in the top of the food chain and don't have many natural enemies).

And it is nice you have variety even for the different water dragons. The deep sea one would be cool too. With blind eyes and trap lights! ( Just an idea, no need to actually do. :3 )

The design reminds me very much of that of a dinosaur. I used to love dinosaurs as a kid.
