Alright, long time no update, so have a glimpse at the life sized Velociraptor mongoliensis that I'm working on. Fully made out of cardboard, old newspapers, masking tape and hot glue (so far). Will be covered in paper mache and finished with chicken feathers (if I can get my hands on enough of them).ΒΒ© Fabrizio De Rossi

I am working on it these days again! The body is almost finished, claws have been added and feathers are being sorted and cleaned.

So how do all the parts attach?

I built the armature out of cardboard pieces that I cut and added where I needed them, glued everything together with hot glue, bulked it up using newspaper and surrounded all that with masking tape.

Wow. I actually started a juvenile Tyrannosaur version. I'm hoping since I have a free day to knock it out. I'll share it with you when I post it!

I'm not yet sure, since I can't really say how much work I'll have to put into it. Also depends on how well he'll be shippable, due to the cardboard-and-papermache-armature.
