Description What started out as a sketch of my heavyweight combat dragon breed, turned into a more refined reference sheet. I tried to give it a bit of a worn out scientific look (which failed miserably).

The two specimens shown are Samsara (the big female) and Makah (the male in the back).
They are mainly used for actual combat, the females being stationed at the breeding grounds, as well as the local dragon ports. Due to their weight and need for food they rarely get sent to the frontlines, whereas the males are more likely to be found patrolling the outer edges of the territories.
Females are generally more aggressive towards their own kind, which usually means that only one or two of those will be stationed at one post to avoid major damage due to territorial issues. Males are usually housed on the other side of a camp to avoid eyecontact between individuals. Their wild living cousins (P. giganteus and P. gracilis) usually avoid one another, which spreads their territories over vast distances.

I might work on some sketches for the harness soon, but for that I first need to do a lot of research on stuff like that. Obviously it needs to be very specific in its design, since there is the membranes of the wings sort of getting in the way, and I don't necessarily want to pierce them (not only for mistreatment resons but also because the leather of the harness might rub against the hide while flying).

So long, have some dragons, I hope you like them!
