Description
Pantheon searched for Diana when he'd heard what the Elders had done to her. He was horrified at the idea of her imprisonment, but dared not express his feelings of discontent. He wanted to confide in Leona over the matter, but she'd closed herself off into the sun temple and he knew the conflict of the sun and the moon was at hand.
Pantheon struggled to come to grips with the idea of Leona and Diana being enemies. The three of them had long been friends, but Leona was the chosen fighter for the sun. It was her duty to uphold the beliefs of the sun not the moon. It was Diana's destiny to uphold the beliefs of the moon, but where did that leave him? What beliefs did he hold dear?
Whenever Pantheon was having a hard time he often disappeared into the darkness of night to that place that he, Diana, and Leona had played as children. He stood by the Holy well and listened to the crickets sing their songs. He walked around until he came to a tall tree. He remembered it was his and Diana's tree that they'd climbed together for many years as children. He thought of the time that Diana had given him his first kiss as they sat amongst the branches. He remembered all of his fights with her as well and felt a deep sadness from her absence. The Solari wanted to execute Diana for her beliefs, but he did not want her to come to harm. He would stop at nothing to keep her safe, even if it meant defying Leona.
Diana appeared around the tree as Pantheon leaned against it. He was undoubtedly surprised by her presence, so this is where she'd been hiding right under the Solari's noses. He glanced over her new armor and she stared at him with that usual mystic gaze that left him entranced. She smiled at him as he looked up and down at her body, "Are you sure it's the armor you're looking at?" He raised his eyebrows in surprise and laughed. Something he hadn't done in ages.
"Did they hurt you?" He let out. "Yes," she whispered. He closed his eyes tight, "Forgive me. I wasn't there." She smiled softly, "I'm all right now. I hurt them more than they hurt me. They are the ones who are dead. Not I. They called me a heretic, now they are dead." He lowered his gaze, "Good. I'd rather it was them." She glanced up at the tree, "Pantheon, it's our favorite tree. Remember when I..." He looked back up at her. She placed her hand on the trunk of the tree and her eyes pierced into his. He smiled as they both looked into the other and remembered their first kiss.
"Do you serve the moon or the sun?" She asked in a serious tone. "I swore an oath to destroy all those who would deny the power of the moon." He was silent for sometime. "I serve neither the moon or the sun, but I would never deny either. I admire the sun, but I admit that I have always loved the moon."
Pantheon knew his place. He would be the one to unite the sun and the moon.

Characters are Diana and Pantheon from League of Legends.
I wanted to do more Diana x Pantheon artwork, because there isn't any. I like wondering about the backstories between Diana, Pantheon, and Leona. This is a quick sketch. Big thanks to
