Until i came into the garden, beneath the light, and found you there.

A vessel, cold as ice and without a soul.

And my blood son, turned to dust, mixed with reddened clove'.

My son, my daughter, my strife.

No amount of crying or prayer would have brought you back to life.

Though i screamed and hugged your ashes

And felt the human's lashes

It seemed the world would now always be cold..."

I can't imagine giving life to something and loving it for so long, only to have to bury it alongside another child of mine.
No one should have to bury their children, but it happens anyway.
Thinking about Toriel's pain just eats me sometimes, UnderTale indeed had some deeply sad themes.
Luckily in my head cannon she sort of gets her son back, only as a flower who, um...

I had SUCH a great time drawing and shading this, i am so proud to have put Tori and Asgore in the same pic!!!
And to have done something so emotional, too.
It's been a while since i did that, hasn't it?
And i used filters to achieve that lighting sequence and it came out even better than i had planned!
