From what I've seen of your other sessions, you have the basics very well accomplished, considering they are self portraits. For portraiture it's all in the detail and in the case of the above photo, more experimentation with depth of focus. The image above is pretty flat as compared to this photo for instance - suicidelass.deviantart.com/artβ¦
The difference in focus between 'front' eye and the 'back' eye on 'suicidelass' really makes the image engaging. Also portraits with heavy make-up can become more about the paint than the person. This is more of an opinion, however. A good portrait deals directly with the individual and without trying to sound poncey,
the last thing a portrait is, is what a person is on the outside.

I must saying your well deserved and signature face just reaches out through all apparent layers of intent. You are just gorgeous but shortcutting past that you know how to make you backgrounds work with the central image, even if it is a simple yet piercing black. I absolutely adore you conveyance of playful intent with your expression. At some other point I will list reasons why you are a human manifestation of masterpiece but here I choose to focus on the strong delivery of emotion you have adopted. Something that might improve this is the fact that this would probably be noticeably better if you were wearing a pendant of some kind. I love how you retained a radiance to your skin while smoothly yet abruptly darkening the picture to the pure black background. I can't truly say how delicious you playful, challenging expression radiates awesomeness.
