Description The setting sun casts long shadows over snow-covered fields in northern Michigan, where Winter has been especially long and heavy.

I like the hand-like shape that the shadow seems seems to form, as if to suggest the grip this season has had on us.

Heh. Fun one, very elegant looking. We're debating here at the store; would it work better without the trees in the background? It would look more contrived, but... Meh. Just a thought. Cool image, fun concept.

Kurtis thinks that's your elbow on the right side of the trunk. I told him he's a damn fool.

Thanks, guys!

The trees over the knoll keep the scene real for me, giving it scale.

I love that the shadow takes the shape of a hand.
