As the chamber about her plunges into darkness, Valerin can only strain with all her might against the ropes around arms, wrists, ankles, and throat. Her anguished groan of effort is cut off by the choking lines, and the chattering squeals of the mob about her is drowned out by the pounding of her own pulse. The shadows about her swim with pairs of glowing eyes, floating like stars in her mind's clouding vision. The bottom of her thoughts drops out beneath her, and her silent voice dispassionately heralds her plunge into defeat, "I am fallen."

okay so you were NOT kidding about 'terror.' Β This one's pretty intense to look at, I don't know whether to marvel more at the model, or your ability to capture this expression. Β It would almost be hard to see except of course ... well ... we kinda know what happens now and that makes it kinda sorta bearable. Β This one is really great!
