SO. I woke up today n just vibed for a moment w/ the usual weeb music, went to open my canvas w/ comms on it AND LOW AND BEHOLD MY BRAIN SAID NO.

It pulled me aside to try somn for 2 mins on an unfinished canvas Ive abandoned for a week now in pursuit of finishing more comms aND IT WORKED. MY BRAIN DID A GOOD FOR ONCE ALTHOUGH IT PULLED ME AWAY FROM COMM ART AGAIN HRRHGNRGNK

Basically, MONTHS already ago it bothered me the way I do muzzles, I COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHY. I first tried to add more realistic blush rules to the muzzles and IT IMPROVED THEM. So I was like kool yeah gonna do that now, NOPE. Today I YET AGAIN drove myself to the limit of "heeheehoohoo what mobian artstyle rules can I break today" AND TURNS OUT THIS....

HONESTLY THOUGH. HONESTLY THO... You can't tell me sonic characters would look so much more natural by adding just TINY tufts of fur to the rims of their muzzles??? Like I'm aware it's kind of easy to draw mobians by seperating their skin-muzzles from their furry fluffy heads but?? HONESTLY. It's just,,.,.,., more weird to me to have such a flawless and standing-out muzzle if yknow,, mobians ARE animals w/ human traits?? While I know I just throw the rule of "little" out the window and go FULL human traits to the mobians ((because let's face it if I can't stand most anime styles and cartoon styles because I'm a sucker for realism)) I STILL think this'd improve sonic art by 10.000% BECAUSE HONESTLY A TINY REALISM CHECK WOULDNT HURT TO ME IMO???

I feel like,, you could do such a cool tiny characterization too abt it,,, as the ones w/ fur would have fluffy transitions..Characters like chameleons could have scales either big or small transition it over HAVING A REFERENCE OF THEIR SCALE SIZE TOO WO/ NEEDING TO DRAW IT ONTO THE ENTIRE CHARACTER
And stuff like fades for mobians that have furry muzzles!! LIKE!!!!!!! COME ON??? YOU CANT TELL ME THATS A GENUINELY GOOD THOUGHT TO PONDER ABOUT???

(In case you see the title as attacking anyones style or choices, I'm not, I just think it would improve mobian art, especially those who go full-on human and turn muzzles into chins and give them long realistic necks and such, it could lend them a hand on making them even more explainably human-like if they'd make the rough edges into some fluffier furrier transitions)

EITHER WAY...I SURE AS HELL WILL TRY TO REMEMBER N DO THIS MYSELF ON MY OWN ART...I like it so much better w/ fluffy transitions imagine what u could do w/ birds n scaley characters and just aaaaa IT OPENS A NEW DOOR UP FOR DESIGN :;;:

Im gonna try using some newer tags for once too as an opportunity, I dont think this belongs in the scraps if I want this genuinely to be seen by people,.,,.,.,
