Description This took me so many hours and layers it is not even funny. Then I lost it I had to do it all over again. and of course my first one looked a whole lot better. I just loose my zest when this happens. For some reason my Photoshop has been getting really slow.

Nice I like it. Good composition. Great colors. Love how the rays of light shine down on the model.
And it reminds me of my visit to stonehenge some years back.

I would like to visit there someday. But is it probably like the Grand Canyon. Once you look at it for a while you realize that it is just a big whole in the ground. Although I was a kid when I was there. I think I would see it with a new eye if I visited it again.

Well when you break it down that way then yes Stonehenge is just a bunch of stacked up boulders. But it is still impressive. When I visited I was very impressed by how big the stone circle was. Quite a curious experience since I only knew it from TV and images and it looks much smaller then. The Entry price was very high tough. Enough to buy a part of it I think.

That is usually the way it is. My parents drug me and my siblings all over the country during the summer seeing all the sights. I know when I was young I really didnt appreciate it. That is why I would love to go see all these things again. I would appreciate them so much more. I would love to go back to the Grand Canyon with my camera and snap to my hearts delight. It is a Beautiful place. There is so much to see in the United states that I couldnt even put a drop in a barrel and see all there is to see. I want to see the World. I think I need to live for another 1000 years than maybe I can make a dent.

Ah yes I know that feeling. I know it very well. Imagine how cool it is to stand at the biggest waterfall of Belgium... Well it's not... since it is only 7 meters high and it looks a bit like somebody is P!ssing down the wall. But my dad thought it to be a very cool something. And I can name countless other trips that had the same quality... at least that was how I looked at it then. could very well be that my vision changed through the years.
I love to travel allthough I haven't been on a proper Holiday for 5 years now. Hope to go somewhere this year.

I take a road trip every summer with my two kids. we drive 1800 miles each way. From New Jersey to Where i am originally from Oklahoma. It is a awesome drive. Takes me two days to drive. we stay there for about two weeks then spend the rest of the summer at our shore house. I Love my life

A shore house? Man I pitty you... what a bad life you have... I wouldn't change with you for all the money in the world Naah I am kidding there. that is pretty cool a house at sea. Also this trip sounds pretty fun although 1800 miles in a car is a very long time. Is it day and night driving?

I actually did some calculating and 1800 miles translates to roughly 1125 km... And if I stay on the european mainland I have like at least 9 different countries at reach.

I will trade you place then. I would love to go through 9 countries. as for the drive. Yes, I drive straight through non stop. although I do pull of for an hour nap here and there. This year I will have my daughter help me:scared: but there is no way I could rest with her driving. The roads go through some mountains highways and there are alot of truckers and it gets pretty scary at times.

rblokker In reply to FairieGoodMother [2009-01-10 11:36:59 +0000 UTC]

Wow.,.. That's impressive. 2 days of non stop driving. Never have done something like that yet. I rather fly with plane when the distance gets too large. Good you have help from your daughter this year. Make steh stress of the road a bit less heavy... Allthough I can imagine that you will not have much rest when it is the first time your daughter will take over the wheel on such a long journey. I gather you have a car that is suitable for the job too.
I have seen some programs on Discovery channel here about truckers in America and what they have to deal with. I can imagine it can be a hairy experience at some times.

FairieGoodMother In reply to rblokker [2009-01-10 17:57:39 +0000 UTC]

yes, it can be. They drive way to long with little or no sleep and they become quite dangerous. There hasn't been a time yet that I have driven to OK that we didn't pass an over turned truck.

rblokker In reply to FairieGoodMother [2009-01-12 21:33:15 +0000 UTC]

Yeah well to tell you the truth we have a lot of truck drivers from Eastern Block driving here in Holland and they do the same. No Sleep for long time and often calling other people with the cellphone too... They have caused a lot of accidents here and I never feel very safe myself when I have to drive alongside a truck.

I love Stonehenge! So mystical and magical... Of course, once you've been there for more than 5 minutes, you start to realize that it really is just a big pile of rocks. LOL

Your photoshop might be getting slower due to your computer's memory capacity...PSD files are huge sometimes in gigabites especially when numerous layers....you may wish to consider upgrading your hard-drive for storage space and memory speed....or perhaps clear up some space on your pc by storing some of your works on cds or dvds or on an external hard-drive....or you could have a virus that could be slowing down your memory cause its expressing files

FairieGoodMother In reply to Amber-jade16 [2009-01-07 19:03:43 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that is probably my problem. I have a tendency of bogging it down with pics. I periodically have to move everything to my external hard drive. It is just amazing how fast it does slow my computer down because I just restored it not to long ago. Thank for the tip though. I will have to do that tonight
