This is my entry for Lilgrimmapple 's Silver and Gold Contest!

I absolutely love her artworks and her character Anna Johnson.
This is also my very first "The Great Mouse Detective" fanart.

I wanted to focus more on the romantic aspects between Anna and Basil, hence the roses and the rain.
I added the Big Ben on the background to establish that it takes place in London.
I tried to replicate the logo as close to the original one as possible, but with my own effects on it.
Lastly, the clock behind the characters is inspired by an 1890's antique created by William Radford.
The faces of Ratigan and human Anna can be seen on the clock!

I had a lot of fun working on this.

Contest #1Hey guys! The time has come again for the very first "Silver and Gold" contest! Are you ready? ‘Cause I’m ready! The them for this current contest is: Draw a movie poster for "Silver and Gold." The contest slots will be 15 in total. I don't think it will fill up to 15, but if it unexpectedly does, I'll extend the amount of slots for the contest after this one. I want everyone to have a chance to enter if they wish. If you can't join, that's okay too. No hard feelings. I know that a few of you won't be joining this time around and that's okay. This is all for fun. There's always next time. The rules are as follows. While I still want you to tag me when you submit your entry, you now have a folder where you can submit it. It's labeled as "Contest #1." So yeah, you're going to have to be a member of this group to do so. Any other questions or concerns, you can comment down below or note me. Okay, so here are the rules: You must be a member of The-Silver-Watchers. You must have read or are currently reading "Silver and Gold." (Trust me, knowing the context will help you.) Please enter your art in the appropriate folder, "Contest #1." You can't enter once all slots are filled. Sorry.Take your time. Quality over quantity. Be courteous to the contenders. Do not insult their work, but instead practice constructive criticism. Always better to help someone improve instead of demeaning their self-confidence. Remember, there is no such thing as bad art. Add a little something in the description box to tell us about your piece. Tag or link me so I know that you have entered. No Dollmaker, copying/pasting characters from the show, and tracing pictures/bases. You can use references if it helps you. No, you don't have to draw your own backgrounds if it's too hard. But overall, you need to draw your entry yourself. :)9 3/4. Feel free to ask me any questions that you have. If you need help, I am more than willing to help you.HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!! PLEASE leave a comment on the submitted art if you entering. Everyone wants feedback and a nice word or two. Plus, it’s good sportsmanship to give encouragement to your competition. Yes, you can hand draw it traditionally if you want. The deadline will be September 5th, so that should give you plenty of time. We will have voting begin on the 6th or the day after if the slots are filled before the date, and like before, I will not be voting. I will just be the one to deliver the prizes. (And hopefully it will not take forever to deliver the prizes...) 1st place: A full body character drawing. 2nd place: A half body character drawing. 3rd place: A character bust drawing.
